Hello all. The series of blogs to follow now will be sharing my journey to Kolkata this month. I got a break from my work after a long time so I decided to go for a short trip somewhere. There were a lot of places in my mind, but
eventually decided to travel to an eastern part of the country. Kolkata was the first destination to prop up. The entire travel plan was made by me.
As it was a travel with my 3 year old loved one Sanvi, I thought of having a comfortable travel by air. There are various airlines which operates flight from Pune to Kolkata. The majority of the flights were via Delhi, so I booked my tickets in the Indigo Airlines. The airline is one of the best in this route because of its timings, prices and other services.
The flight was to depart from the Lohegaon Airport, Pune at 10:35 AM. It was a short 2:30 hour journey. It was because of the flight timings that we chose Indigo among all the other Pune Kolkata Flights. The flight services were very good. We did an online check in to save time at the airport. The in
flight entertainment services were also ok. We watched a Bollywood movie along the way to pass the time.
It was the first time I was travelling to Kolkata for purely leisure and travel purpose. While on the flight to Kolkata, I shortlisted some of the most famous attractions of the city to visit. Some of them were also recommended to me by my friends and few family relatives. There was a huge excitement within me for this journey as it was one of my favourite places which I always longed to visit.
We reached Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata at around 1:30 PM. After checking out our bags we headed for the exit. I had already
done an advance booking at one of the hotels in Kolkata. They also sent a taxi on my request to the airport to receive us.
The taxi guy took us to our Hotel which was not more than 30 minutes drive.
