A Journey To The Most Enchanting Place - The Stok Palace Museum In Ladakh!

I was only used to the city life and the beautiful silent ambience of Ladakh was simply refreshing to say the least! The restaurants, the pubs the night life was my lifestyle back home but this was simply awesome! Earlier, I never really understood what the other people were achieving by cutting themselves from the world, but now I got the true picture!

The Stok palace is the first place that I visited from my hotel. This is a place which has more to offer. The manner in which it is maintained is quite amazing. The art and architecture that you see here shows a very strong trend. You will see many pieces which were part of the very ancient civilization and then you have ones which have the Mughal influence. After that you will see many paintings and different art forms having Chinese influences as well.

The journey and the Stok Palace museum

We went to the Stok Palace Museum which held the history of the place. It shows us the way the royalty at this place lived. There was nothing for miles together, yet people survive here. Things which we have taken for granted is something that people here don’t get on a daily basis. This was the best end to the journey that I set out.

There is a whole lot of Buddhist influence in recent times. This is the manner in which the calmness engulfs you completely. There is very little which you would think as your mind is busy looking, and capturing images of the view that is in front of you. From the windows of the palace you can see the mountain range, and may be for a minute or two you will feel like the emperor of this place. A feeling which cannot be easily shaken as the look and art of this place just engulfs you.
