Speak To The Gods At Pangong Lake At Ladakh!

Visiting the Pangong Lake was an enchanting experience for me. It is one of the most beautiful of all the lakes in the world. It is a paradise on earth. After a trip to Leh and resting for some time, I along with my guide drove to the Pangong Lake. This is a lake with is almost equally in India and Tibet. The total stretch of the lake is for about 5 KM.

This is a beautiful expanse that you will see and there is water and mountains everywhere. The water is hard to determine if it is green or blue. This is a saline water lake; however despite of that it freezes during winters. You should be careful as this is a disputed land and you should make sure that you have a local guide and carry all your identification papers. This however is just a small hurdle when compared to the vast expanse of water that you can see at this region. Nothing you have seen in your life would prepare you for such a beauty.

There are many places in the world which makes you look within to know what you are. One among them is the Pangong Lake. There is almost no vegetation or life inside the lake. Whoever decides to stay here needs a lot of grit and determination. Yet this place is so close to nature that it would give you Goosebumps.

I have heard that God gives us some things and takes some. In this same way God has given beauty to this place, vast expanse of water and nothing else. There are mountain ranges which are rocky.  Just close your eyes and take in the beauty of this place. At the same time you will see that the place has no vegetation. May be god created this place and decided that there was nothing else needed to make this place beautiful. Feel close to the gods and I really felt calm within myself after the mad pace of city life!
