We disembarked the train at Surat Railway Station at around 4 am. Sanvi was still sleeping. Our pre-booked cab
from the hotel was already there, and the driver helped us to carry our luggage. We seated ourselves in the taxi, and headed for the hotel- Hotel Golden Star.
We reached there in a while. It was a beautiful building and was well-illuminated at that time. We checked-in and a staff member ushered us to our room. The entire hotel staff was very affable and they even enjoyed going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. That made me very relaxed and I felt the hotel to be a home away from home.
The room was beautifully decorated and was furnished with all the modern amenities. The interior was impressive. As we were tired from the journey and had scarce sleep, we slept as soon as we hit
the bed. The hotel had wake up services, so we told them to wake us up at 8 am with morning tea.
At sharp 8 o’clock, the bell rang, and we were greeted by a smiling crew member with hot and aromatic tea. We were having tea and talking when Sanvi got up. She was so surprised and perplexed about where she was. We lovingly explained her that we are in a hotel. She examined the entire room and seemed to be happy with it.
As we had limited days and many places to explore, we decided to leave for sightseeing after having breakfast. So we quickly refreshed and reached hotel’s restaurant to have breakfast. The food was nice and services quick. On our way back to the room, we came across the indoor swimming pool and gym of the hotel. Promptly, Sanvi demanded she wanted to go to the pool. We explained her but she was adamant to go swimming, and at last, we had to give up. (Parents can never win over their kids!!!)
We entered the clean water of the pool, and soon we were splashing water over one another. Many other people also joined the fun and we had a gala time on the very first day of our vacation in Hotel Golden Star Surat
