It was the first day of my stay in Goa. Me and my daughter arrived at the hotel and unpacked our bags. I started making lists for the trip and scheduled for that particular day. I had already heard about the Candolim Beach in Goa which is known to be one of the largest and most beautiful beaches of the country. The beach is located in the northern end of Goa, which is about fifteen kilometers from the capital of Goa, Panaji. The Candolim Beach starts from Fort Aguada and coalesce with the Calangute Beach at one of the ends. The beach is a popular visiting place for most of the tourists and people from all over the world visit this place for a lovely time out with friends and loved ones.
The nature lover spirit in me was enthusiastic and always wanted to visit those places which could give satisfaction and internal pleasure. The local people staying in Candolim enjoy a much peaceful weather and love to take strolls in the beachside during evening and morning hours. There are lots of shops housed along the beach which sells local articles and souvenirs, Goan style of clothing and few ornaments which always attracts loads of people from outside. Tourists flock around the market places and the beachside to enjoy the fantastic weather and local shopping.
The Candolim Beach is always surrounded by hawkers who sell clothes for men and women near the beach at cheap rates. Local masseurs also make a good business there as the number of foreign visitors coming to Goa is always large in number. Beach snacks, fruit juices, coffee, tea and lip smacking sea food are sold near the beach for a perfect evening with your partner. Several water activities like para sailing and banana boat ride are done towards the Sinquerim end of the beach. These water sport activities drive the visitors crazy which offers a good amusement. Few of the best eating outlets are also present around the beach, the most popular one being “After 7”, “Bom Successo”etc which serve authentic Goan style food.
