Visit to Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai

After visiting the cathedral, our next plan was to visit the Nehru Science Center in Worli. We hired a cab from Bandra that dropped us off at the location in fifteen minutes. It was around 12:30 when we arrived at the NSC. Visiting hours for the science center is from 10am to 6pm everyday and the ticket counter will be open up to 5.30pm. We were well in time; we purchased the entry ticket and proceeded to the entrance.

I would like to share the little information I have about the Nehru Science Center. It is located in Worli and is said to be the largest Science interaction Center in the country. Many people visit the center every day. The center mainly deals with innovative ideas that can help in the development and growth of science and technology. It mainly interacts with people to bring positive changes in life along with important changes in science and technology. It is one of the best organizations that create a useful world for the generations to come.

As we moved inside, we were excited to see a number of large exhibits based on innovative ideas of technology. Several exhibits show the process of energy, sound, transport, mechanics and so on. It surely will enhance creativity in the younger generation and develop an interest in science. D science show is also conducted in the center to bring awareness of the latest developments around us. The center also has a huge collocation of ancient artifacts. My daughter, though she understood very little of what she saw, she was happy to go around. We took about 2 hours within the center. We moved out to see around the campus. The campus is vast and the building of the center has a unique structure.

The entire campus was spread over 8 acres and there are a lot of trees and plants making the surroundings very pleasant.  We sat in the lawns for about an hour and my little one was busy running around the place. My husband and I were conversing about the trip in Mumbai and the experiences. It was indeed a relaxing journey in the busy city. We had one more day in the city and then we will be traveling back home. A vacation comes to an end faster than we think…a break from routine work is truly refreshing!
