It is vacation time again! Whew,…the best time of the year! I love it anytime! As usual, I had a small party with my tiny tots to mark the upcoming vacation. I gave them few colorful lollipops and tons of joy all around! Everyone was busy wishing the other ‘Happy Holidays!’ I am equally excited as the children were! I also have time exclusively for my little one, Sanvi. I along with my family had already booked a vacation to Mumbai and we were to leave the next morning. My husband had already booked tickets to Mumbai in Deccan Express. I had called my aunt who lives in Colaba as we had plans to stay with her for a week. She was excited too especially to see and spend time with my daughter.
As soon I reached home, I checked out the ticket for the journey. The train was to depart from Pune at 2:30pm. It was a Saturday morning and all of us woke up late and were busy discussing about the trip to Mumbai. Though many times we visit the city, we hardly get enough time to go around and cover all places of interest. My daughter too gets very tired on long journeys. So we restrict our visits to nearby places. Now she is almost 3 years and a journey seems to interest her. We had lunch and ready to leave to the station. We reached Pune Junction around 2 pm and there were huge crowds as all were heading for a holiday.
The train was on time and we got into our coach and found our seats. As soon as we settled down, I called my aunt and told her that we are starting journey. She wished a ‘safe travel’ and as the train moved, the little one was getting exciting. She was busy watching the scenes outside and enjoyed every moment. She has a lot questions too and I had to keep answering to all the silly but cute questions that she was asking me. We reached Mumbai at 7:45 pm and wow!! Mumbai CST, an amazing station in the country handling huge crowds of people and numerous trains at a time! My Mumbai expedition begins…….
